IT'S JUST A BLATANTLY OBVIOUS WAY TO FORCE GOOGLE
shi
+
ON EVERYONE.
[Caps lock: off]
I might stop using it. Really, I can't get to any of the videos I want to watch. Anything older than a week old on Motor Trend or Drive is impossible to get to. Even new stuff is hard to find. More importantly:
How can I look at all of the pretty stats?!?!?!?!

I still can't tell if I'm posting stuff to + or what is being shared. Such a sham. BUT, I will say that it is a very good way to get people to use +/... from a marketing perspective.

Agreed. It's that irritating! Lol
A Google employee who quit claims that during the development of +, management gave orders of dedicating 90% of all efforts towards it. They are really pushing the limits of people's tempers, but they know they can get away with it.

I'm starting to get away from Youtube because of this, It's a mess. Google can suck it, and I refuse to use their social network. I guess I'll be getting a Blackberry or Windows Phone next if they add this mess to Android.

I don't understand all this b*tching. Yeah, its kinda sh*tty that Google is making you have a G+ account to post comments a such, but just make an account and don't use it. And G+ has the best privacy controls of all the social networks. Just make everything visible to yourself only if you're a privacy nut. I can't even count the number of times I've made an account on some website simply to gain added functionality or features.

I understand your point, but the main issue here, is that while good in theory, this isn't well implemented.
Google claimed this was a way to pretty much prevent trolls and immature comments, but comments now have no character limits and allow URLs, so people are now abusing the system, posting ASCII "drawings" of genitals and other offensive material in the comments. Stuff like full movie scripts, and links that lead to stuff like viruses and screamer videos also show up, while all other legit comments are automatically flagged as spam, and if you want to see a conversation, it will open a new tab with the same page you are currently on, with the comment on top, it's annoying to be honest. I found that the older system was fine the way it was, it just needed some minor tweaks, not a complete overhaul.

Ah, I gotcha. I didn't know it was getting that bad.
Also, as for your previous comment, I agree that Google had better not screw with Android, that really would be a deal breaker for me.
